Preparation Steps

  • Wash and thoroughly dry the chicken pieces.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together buttermilk, eggs, salt, and black pepper.
  • In another bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, seasoned salt, paprika, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
  • Dip each chicken piece into the flour mixture, shaking off the excess.
  • Dip the coated chicken pieces into the buttermilk mixture, allowing excess to drip off.
  • Return to the flour mixture for a second dip and shake off any excess flour.
  • Spray the air fryer basket with oil and preheat to 370°F.
  • Cook for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway and spraying the other side with oil.
  • Repeat steps for additional chicken as needed.

Notes

For a zesty kick, sprinkle lemon juice over the chicken before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
