Preparation
Start by measuring 2 cups of whole wheat flour and pour it into a mixing bowl.
Add 1 cup of clean play sand for that authentic beach experience.
Mixing
Gradually mix in 1 cup of vegetable oil. Stir continuously until the flour and sand are thoroughly combined.
Note the texture change; it should become crumbly but cohesive.
Adding Water
Slowly add 1/2 cup of water to the mixture, stirring until everything is well-blended.
The sand should feel moldable but not sticky – a perfect sensory play texture.
Optional Add-Ins
If you desire, add a few drops of food coloring to achieve your preferred hue.
For a pleasant aroma, mix in essential oils, stirring well to distribute evenly.
