Ingredients

For the Pizza

  • 1 cup Pizza sauce
  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese Use generously.
  • 1 cup Sliced mozzarella cheese Thicker slices for a 3D look, thinner for a flatter look.
  • 1/2 cup Black olives Sliced for eyes and mouths.
  • 1/2 cup Pepperoni slices Optional for extra topping.

For Homemade Dough

  • 2 1/4 tsp Active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups Warm water About 110°F (43°C).
  • 4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Sugar

Instructions

Option 1: Use Store-Bought Dough or Pillsbury Pizza Crust

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Spread a layer of pizza sauce evenly on the pizza crust.
  • Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  • Cut thicker slices of mozzarella into ghost-like figures and place them on top of the cheese.
  • Bake the pizza in the hot oven for about 15 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  • Once baked, add black olives as eyes and mouths on the mozzarella ghosts.

Option 2: Make Your Own Dough

  • In a bowl, mix the warm water with active dry yeast and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 to 10 minutes until it bubbles.
  • Combine flour and salt in a large bowl. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a towel, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
  • After rising, punch the dough down, roll it out, and preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Spread pizza sauce evenly on the rolled-out dough and follow steps 3 to 5 from Option 1 to finish your pizza.

Notes

To store leftovers, keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat slices in the microwave for about 30 seconds or in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes. Involve your kids in decorating with toppings for more fun!
