1 1/2cupsWarm waterAbout 110°F (43°C).
4cupsAll-purpose flour
2tbspOlive oil
1tspSalt
1tspSugar
Instructions
Option 1: Use Store-Bought Dough or Pillsbury Pizza Crust
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Spread a layer of pizza sauce evenly on the pizza crust.
Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
Cut thicker slices of mozzarella into ghost-like figures and place them on top of the cheese.
Bake the pizza in the hot oven for about 15 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and the cheese has melted.
Once baked, add black olives as eyes and mouths on the mozzarella ghosts.
Option 2: Make Your Own Dough
In a bowl, mix the warm water with active dry yeast and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 to 10 minutes until it bubbles.
Combine flour and salt in a large bowl. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a towel, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
After rising, punch the dough down, roll it out, and preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Spread pizza sauce evenly on the rolled-out dough and follow steps 3 to 5 from Option 1 to finish your pizza.
Notes
To store leftovers, keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat slices in the microwave for about 30 seconds or in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes. Involve your kids in decorating with toppings for more fun!
