Ingredients

For the Filling

  • 1 package Breakfast Sausage Links Feel free to swap in turkey sausage or plant-based sausage for a lighter variation.
  • 4 large Eggs Essential for a protein-packed filling.
  • 1/4 cup Milk Can be substituted with non-dairy milk if desired.
  • to taste Salt A must for enhancing flavor.
  • to taste Pepper Adjust to your personal taste.
  • 1 tablespoon Butter Can be omitted for a lighter version.
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese Any melty cheese works just as well!

For the Dough

  • 1 can Refrigerated Crescent Roll Dough Try using puff pastry, tortillas, or homemade biscuit dough.

Instructions

Cooking Instructions

  • Cook the Sausage: Begin by sautéing the breakfast sausage links in a skillet over medium heat until they're browned and fully heated through, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Scramble the Eggs: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the large eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until combined. Pour this mixture into the same skillet used for the sausage and cook in butter, stirring gently until fluffy and just set, around 3-5 minutes.
  • Assemble the Roll-Ups: Roll out the refrigerated crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface. Spoon a generous amount of the sausage and egg filling onto each triangle of dough, then carefully roll from the base to the tip, sealing the edges.
  • Bake: Arrange the rolled-up pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Notes

Serve with a side of salsa for an extra kick! Drain excess grease from the sausage after cooking to keep roll-ups crisp. Avoid overstuffing to maintain shape.
