Ingredients

For the treats

  • 3 tablespoons butter Use unsalted butter for best flavor.
  • 10 oz mini marshmallows Approximately 4 cups.
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal Can substitute with other cereals if desired.

For the decoration

  • 8 oz white chocolate chips Or use melting wafers for ease.
  • as needed Candy eyes Optional, for decoration.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Begin by lining a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper or lightly greasing it.
  • In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butter while stirring frequently.
  • Once the butter is melted, add the mini marshmallows and stir until fully melted and smooth.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and add the Rice Krispies cereal, stirring well to coat.
  • Press the mixture into the prepared pan evenly and allow it to cool slightly.

Decoration

  • While cooling, melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl using 30-second bursts, stirring in between until smooth.
  • Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the cooled Rice Krispies treats to create a bandage effect.
  • If using candy eyes, place them on the treats before the chocolate sets.

Serving

  • Allow the chocolate to set completely, then cut the treats into rectangles.
  • Serve on a platter decorated with Halloween-themed items for extra fun.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days. Avoid refrigerating to prevent hardening.
