How to Make Zesty Bacon Cream Cheese Bagels

  • In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar, diced bacon, mayonnaise, sour cream, and hot sauce. Stir until smooth and well blended, then chill the mixture for about 30 minutes.
  • Carefully slice a thin piece off the bottom of each bagel for stability. Using your thumbs and a small knife, hollow out the center of each bagel.
  • Spoon the cream cheese mixture evenly into each hollowed bagel, mounding the filling slightly above the edges.
  • Arrange the filled bagels on a baking tray and place them in a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F). Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  • Before serving, add a sprinkle of reserved bacon bits and freshly chopped chives or green onions on top.

Notes
