  • 8 slices Challah Bread Sourdough is another option
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard Yellow mustard can substitute for milder taste
  • 1 cup Raspberry Preserves Optional, for serving

Instructions

How to Make Monte Cristo Breakfast Casserole

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Whisk together eggs, Swiss cheese, cheddar cheese, and Dijon mustard in a large mixing bowl until well combined.
  • Layer slices of challah bread in a greased baking dish. Alternate with slices of ham and the egg mixture.
  • Bake for 40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is set.
  • Cool slightly after removing from the oven. Just before serving, add a dollop of raspberry preserves on top.

Notes
