For the Toast

  • 2 slices Milk Bread Soft and fluffy, any square-shaped white bread will work.
  • 2 tbsp Smooth Peanut Butter Creamy filling; can be swapped for Nutella or any nut butter.
  • 2 large Eggs Beaten for easy coating.

For Frying

  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil Neutral flavor for frying.
  • to taste Butter For serving; can use honey or maple syrup instead.

For Drizzling

  • to taste Sweetened Condensed Milk Can be swapped for honey or maple syrup.

  • Spread a thin layer of peanut butter on two slices of milk bread. Keep one slice plain, stack the peanut butter-covered slices, and gently press down.
  • Using a bread knife, carefully cut off the crusts, shaping the sandwich into a neat square.
  • Beat the eggs in a shallow bowl until smooth. Lightly dip the sandwich into the mixture, ensuring it’s just coated.
  • Warm vegetable oil in a heavy-bottomed pan over low-medium heat, aiming for around 300°F.
  • Place the sandwich in the hot oil, frying until golden brown (about 1-2 minutes on larger surfaces, 30 seconds per side).
  • Once perfectly fried, remove from the oil and let excess drain. Serve hot, topped with butter and drizzled with sweetened condensed milk.

Notes

Best served fresh and hot for optimal taste and texture.
