  • In a stand mixer, blend together sweetened condensed milk, peppermint extract, and vanilla. Gradually mix in powdered sugar until a dough forms and is smooth to the touch.
  • Knead the dough on a powdered sugar-dusted surface, rolling it out to a ½-inch thickness. Use a cookie cutter to cut out 1 to 1½-inch circles.
  • Place the circles on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for about 15 minutes until they firm up.
  • Heat the dark melting chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, using 30-second intervals, stirring after each until smooth and slightly cooled.
  • Take each chilled patty and coat it completely in chocolate. Return them to the baking sheet and top with colorful sprinkles if desired.
  • Refrigerate the dipped patties for 20 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden completely.
