How to Make Truffles

  • Begin by chopping the white chocolate into small pieces. Melt it gently using a double boiler or microwave in short bursts, stirring frequently until smooth.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, orange zest, orange extract, vanilla extract, powdered sugar, and a pinch of salt. Beat until smooth and fluffy.
  • Once your white chocolate has cooled slightly, pour it into the cream cheese mixture. Stir gently until fully blended.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to help the mixture firm up.
  • Scoop out portions of the chilled mixture and roll them into balls, placing them on a parchment-lined tray.
  • Dip the truffles in melted white chocolate or roll them in orange sanding sugar. Chill for another 30 minutes before serving.
