How to Make Truffles
Begin by chopping the white chocolate into small pieces. Melt it gently using a double boiler or microwave in short bursts, stirring frequently until smooth.
In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, orange zest, orange extract, vanilla extract, powdered sugar, and a pinch of salt. Beat until smooth and fluffy.
Once your white chocolate has cooled slightly, pour it into the cream cheese mixture. Stir gently until fully blended.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to help the mixture firm up.
Scoop out portions of the chilled mixture and roll them into balls, placing them on a parchment-lined tray.
Dip the truffles in melted white chocolate or roll them in orange sanding sugar. Chill for another 30 minutes before serving.
