How to Make Tasty Slow Cooker Christmas Pudding

  • In a large bowl, combine sultanas, raisins, currants, and candied peel.
  • Stir in grated apple, citrus zest, orange juice, brandy, and dark stout until blended.
  • Cover the mixture and let it soak for at least 12 hours.
  • Mix in self-rising flour and a pinch of salt, ensuring everything is well combined.
  • Butter the pudding basin and line with baking parchment, then fill it with the mixture.
  • Cover the basin with parchment and foil, securing tightly with kitchen string.
  • Place the basin into the slow cooker, fill with water halfway up the sides, and cook on low for 10 hours.
  • Allow the pudding to cool before storing in a cool, dark place.
