In a small saucepan, mix together raw cacao powder, turmeric, black pepper, cinnamon, and ground black cumin seeds. Whisk until well blended.
Gradually whisk in the coconut cream or plant milk over low heat. Stir until smooth and creamy, about 3-5 minutes.
Taste the cocoa and sweeten as desired. Add cayenne pepper if you like some heat.
Allow the drink to warm gently until hot, but avoid boiling.
Pour into mugs and stir occasionally to keep it creamy. Top with extra cinnamon if desired.
Notes
For extra creaminess, consider adding a dollop of coconut cream on top. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
