Equipment

  • microwave-safe bowl
  • spatula

Ingredients

For the Fudge Base

  • 1 cup White Chocolate Chips Use high-quality chocolate for best results, such as Ghirardelli.
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter Cut into small cubes for easier melting.
  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk No substitution recommended for similar consistency.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt Keep as is for depth of taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract Optional substitution: Vanilla bean paste for a stronger flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Almond Extract Optional: Adjust amount to taste or swap with hazelnut extract.

For the Crunch

  • 1 cup Mini Nilla Wafers Can be chopped for a finer distribution.
  • 1/4 cup Christmas Jimmies/Sprinkles Avoid nonpareils as they bleed color.

Instructions

Basic Instructions

  • Line an 8x8 square pan with parchment paper, ensuring to smear it lightly with butter.
  • In a large microwave-safe bowl, mix together the white chocolate chips, butter, sweetened condensed milk, and salt. Microwave for 1 minute to start melting.
  • Gently stir the mixture and microwave in 30-second increments, continuing until fully melted and smooth.
  • Incorporate the pure vanilla extract and almond extract into the melted mixture, mixing until well combined.
  • Carefully fold in the crushed Nilla wafers, and mix in 1/4 cup of sprinkles, stirring gently.
  • Transfer the mixture into your prepared pan. Use a spatula to smooth the top and sprinkle the remaining jimmies over it.
  • Place the pan in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours until firm. Let sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before cutting.
  • Use a warm, clean knife to cut into squares, ensuring each piece has festive sprinkles.

Notes

Optional: Consider adding some chopped nuts for a delicious twist. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days in the fridge or freeze for up to 3 months.
