  • 1 large large onion, sliced
  • 3–4 tablespoons vegetable oil (or butter, or a mix!)

  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add sliced potatoes in an even layer and let them cook undisturbed for 4–5 minutes until the bottoms start to crisp.
  • Add the sliced onions on top, then season with salt, pepper, and any other favorite seasonings.
  • Gently flip and stir the potatoes and onions every few minutes to cook evenly. You want them golden and tender—not mushy!
  • Cook for 20–25 minutes, or until potatoes are crispy on the outside and soft inside.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot!
