How to Make Easy Winter Wonderland Chocolate Chip Cookies
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, and mix until fully combined.
Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips and crushed candy canes gently.
Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers remain soft.
Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
