Instructions

Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and position the rack in the upper third.
  • Line a 9x5 inch aluminum loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • Whisk together all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and kosher salt in a large bowl.
  • Combine egg, buttermilk, melted butter, and almond extract in another bowl.
  • Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just incorporated, then fold in sprinkles.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes.
  • Cool the bread in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack for 1-2 hours.
  • Prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar, buttermilk, and corn syrup until thick.
  • Spoon the glaze over the cooled bread and sprinkle with nonpareils.
