Ingredients

Cheese Mixture

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt Choose based on preference
  • 1 cup queso dip or spinach-artichoke dip A combination can be used
  • 1/2 cup milk Optional, for thinning

Seasoning and Color

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Green food coloring Optional for witchy tint

For Serving

  • Tortilla chips For serving the dip
  • Garnish: chopped green onions or jalapeño slices Optional

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by placing a saucepan on medium heat. Add the cream cheese and sour cream to the pan. Stir them together until they melt and become smooth.
  • Next, add the queso dip or spinach-artichoke dip into the saucepan. Stir it well and heat it through until it combines fully with the cream cheese mixture.
  • Gradually stir in the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Keep stirring until all the cheese melts and creates a smooth, cheesy dip.
  • If you want a fun, witchy look, add a few drops of green food coloring and mix it in.
  • If the dip is too thick, you can thin it out by adding a bit of milk until it reaches a dippable consistency.
  • Pour the hot dip into a small cauldron or heatproof serving dish. To keep it warm, you can use a mini fondue pot or a slow cooker.
  • Arrange tortilla chips around the cauldron or on a serving platter for easy access.
  • If you like, sprinkle some chopped green onions or jalapeño slices over the top for extra flavor.
  • Serve the dip right away while it’s hot, and enjoy watching everyone dive in!

Notes

Feel free to get creative with the cheeses, such as using pepper jack for spice or adding other types of cheese. This dip can also be made in a slow cooker. Don't skimp on seasoning—taste before serving and adjust as needed. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days and reheat gently, possibly adding milk to restore texture.
