Ingredients

For the Color

  • a few tablespoons White vinegar React with baking soda to create fizz.
  • a few drops Food coloring (various colors) To add color to your fizz.

  • 1 piece A tray or baking sheet To catch spills during the activity.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Set up your art station by laying down newspaper or a plastic sheet to prevent stains.
  • Gather all your materials within reach for a smooth workflow.

Mix Your Painting Base

  • In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda with 1 cup of water until you achieve a smooth paste.
  • Pour a small amount of the mixture onto your sturdy paper or canvas.

Add Color

  • In separate cups, mix a few tablespoons of vinegar with a few drops of food coloring for each color you want to use.
  • Use a straw or dropper to apply the colored vinegar to the baking soda mixture on the paper.

Watch the Magic Happen

  • Observe how the vinegar reacts with the baking soda, causing bubbling and fizzing!
