Ingredients
Base Ingredients
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/3 cup white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon corn syrup Can be substituted with honey or agave syrup.
Fragrance Ingredients
- 10-15 drops essential oils (your choice of fragrance) Customize with your favorite scents.
Tools
- 1 set silicone molds (various shapes)
- 1 unit mixing bowl
- 1 unit spoon
- 1 unit baking sheet (for drying)
Instructions
Preparation of Mixture
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda and 1/3 cup of white vinegar. The mixture will fizz – this is normal! Stir gently until fully combined.
Adding Ingredients
- Add 1 tablespoon of corn syrup to the mixture.
- Incorporate 10-15 drops of your chosen essential oil. Stir until everything is smooth and evenly mixed.
Molding
- Pour the mixture into silicone molds.
- Use a spoon to press down the mixture to ensure it’s compact.
Drying
- Place the molds on a baking sheet and let them sit for 24-48 hours at room temperature to harden.
Unmolding and Placement
- Once dried, carefully pop the stones out of the molds.
- Place them in desired locations around your home or gift them to friends!
Notes
For added color, a few drops of food coloring can be added to the mixture. Experiment with different essential oils for various scents. Molds can be in different shapes to match seasonal themes.
