Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3.4 oz instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1.5 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  • Stir in instant vanilla pudding mix until smooth.
  • Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips evenly.
  • Scoop dough into balls and place 2 inches apart on baking sheets.
  • Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until edges are set and centers look soft.
  • Cool on baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

Do not overbake. Centers should look slightly soft when removed from the oven.
