Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Mix in egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
Stir in instant vanilla pudding mix until smooth.
Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
Fold in chocolate chips evenly.
Scoop dough into balls and place 2 inches apart on baking sheets.
Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until edges are set and centers look soft.
Cool on baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
Do not overbake. Centers should look slightly soft when removed from the oven.
