Ingredients

  • 4 chicken leg quarters
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp tandoori masala
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp oil or butter (for brushing)

Instructions

  • Mix yogurt, lemon juice, oil, garlic paste, ginger paste, and all spices until smooth.
  • Make deep cuts in chicken and coat thoroughly with marinade.
  • Marinate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Bake at 400°F for 30–40 minutes, turning halfway through.
  • Brush with oil or butter and cook until slightly charred before serving.

Notes

Marinate overnight for best flavor and broil briefly for a smoky finish.
