Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs sirloin or flank steak
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 0.5 tsp chili powder
  • 1 piece bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 piece small onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for fries
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1 piece cucumber
  • 0.25 piece red onion
  • 2 cups chopped lettuce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for salad
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Toss fries with olive oil and salt, then bake for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Season steak with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, cumin, and chili powder. Let rest for 10-15 minutes.
  • Sear steak in a hot skillet for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from pan.
  • Cook bell peppers, onion, and garlic in butter until tender. Return steak and toss together.
  • Mix tomatoes, cucumber, onion, lettuce, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper for the salad.
  • Serve steak fajitas with fries and salad. Spoon pan juices over steak before serving.

Notes

Slice steak against the grain for tenderness. Do not overcrowd fries while baking for maximum crispiness.
