Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked rice (day-old)
  • 200 g steak (sirloin or ribeye, cubed)
  • 6-8 shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup green peas
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 onion (sliced)
  • 1/2 zucchini (chopped)
  • 1/2 red pepper (sliced)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • salt and black pepper

Instructions

  • Heat butter in a skillet. Add garlic and rice, then stir in soy sauce, peas, and scrambled egg.
  • Season steak and sear in a hot skillet for 3–4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • Cook shrimp with onion, zucchini, and red pepper until shrimp turns pink.
  • Add sesame oil and soy sauce, then return steak to the pan and toss everything together.
  • Serve fried rice with steak and shrimp mixture in a bowl.

Notes

Use day-old rice for best texture and cook on high heat for authentic hibachi flavor.
