Equipment

  • Ramekins or custard cups

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 cups whole milk

Instructions

  • Place a folded kitchen towel at the bottom of a slow cooker.
  • Grease ramekins lightly and place them on the towel inside the slow cooker.
  • Whisk eggs and sugar until smooth and slightly lighter in color.
  • Slowly whisk in the milk until fully combined.
  • Divide the mixture among ramekins leaving a little space at the top.
  • Pour hot water into the slow cooker around the ramekins until halfway up their sides.
  • Place a towel under the lid and cook on LOW for 2–3 hours until mostly set.
  • Cool to room temperature then refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Chill the custard for at least 2 hours before serving for the best texture.
