Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, diced
  • 16 ounces frozen broccoli florets
  • 2 cans condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups low sodium chicken broth
  • 12 ounces wide egg noodles, uncooked

Instructions

  • Place diced chicken evenly in the bottom of a 5 to 6 quart slow cooker.
  • Spread frozen broccoli over the chicken without stirring.
  • Whisk together cream of chicken soup and chicken broth until smooth.
  • Pour the soup mixture over the broccoli and chicken without mixing.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours or HIGH for 2½ to 3 hours until chicken is cooked through.
  • About 30 to 40 minutes before serving stir the chicken, broccoli and sauce together.
  • Add uncooked egg noodles and press them into the sauce so they are mostly submerged.
  • Cook on HIGH for 25 to 35 minutes stirring once until noodles are tender.
  • Let the dish sit uncovered for 5 minutes to thicken before serving.

Notes

For extra creaminess stir in 4 ounces cream cheese or 1/2 cup sour cream when adding the noodles.
