Ingredients

  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 pound beef sausage
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups kale, chopped
  • 2 potatoes, diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove, crumble, and set aside.
  • In the same pot, cook the beef sausage until browned.
  • Add diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until soft and fragrant.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and add diced potatoes and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer until the potatoes become tender.
  • Stir in the chopped kale and cook until wilted.
  • Add the heavy cream and crumbled turkey bacon. Stir well and heat through.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve hot.

Notes

Adjust the red pepper flakes to control the spice level. Serve with crusty bread or garlic bread for a complete meal.
