ribeye or sirloin steaks about 1 inch thick

large shrimp peeled and deveined

unsalted butter

Yukon gold or russet potatoes peeled and cubed

butter

warm heavy cream or milk

Instructions
Boil peeled potatoes in salted water for 15–20 minutes until fork tender.
Drain and mash with butter and warm cream until smooth and fluffy. Season with salt.
Season steaks with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear steaks 3–4 minutes per side.
Remove steaks and let rest for 5 minutes.
In the same skillet melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
Add shrimp and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
Finish shrimp with lemon juice and parsley.
Serve sliced steak and shrimp over mashed potatoes and drizzle with garlic butter sauce.
Notes
Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing to keep it juicy.
