Ingredients

  • 1 lb thin sliced bacon
  • 1.5 sleeves club crackers about 44 crackers
  • 8 oz parmesan cheese wedge thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp red pepper flakes optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
  • Arrange crackers in a single layer on the wire rack.
  • Slice Parmesan cheese into small pieces the size of the crackers and place one piece on each cracker.
  • Cut bacon slices into fourths and place one piece on top of each cracker.
  • Sprinkle brown sugar generously over the bacon and add red pepper flakes if desired.
  • Bake for 35–45 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through, until bacon is crispy and sugar caramelizes.
  • Allow crackers to cool on the rack for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Allow the crackers to cool slightly before serving so the caramelized sugar coating sets perfectly.
