Instructions
Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
Arrange crackers in a single layer on the wire rack.
Slice Parmesan cheese into small pieces the size of the crackers and place one piece on each cracker.
Cut bacon slices into fourths and place one piece on top of each cracker.
Sprinkle brown sugar generously over the bacon and add red pepper flakes if desired.
Bake for 35–45 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through, until bacon is crispy and sugar caramelizes.
Allow crackers to cool on the rack for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Allow the crackers to cool slightly before serving so the caramelized sugar coating sets perfectly.
