butter, softened

buttermilk

sugar (for topping)

ground cinnamon
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F and grease two loaf pans.
Cream butter, 2 cups sugar, and eggs until smooth.
Add buttermilk, flour, and baking soda and mix until just combined.
Divide batter evenly between the loaf pans.
Mix 2/3 cup sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
Sprinkle most of the cinnamon mixture over the batter.
Add remaining batter and sprinkle with the rest of the cinnamon mixture.
Swirl with a knife to create a cinnamon pattern.
Bake for 45–50 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Cool in pans for 20 minutes before removing.
Notes
This recipe makes two loaves and freezes well for later enjoyment.
