Ingredients

  • 4 pieces bone-in or boneless pork chops (¾–1 inch thick)
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz each)
  • 0.5 cup low-sodium chicken broth or water
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon neutral cooking oil (optional)

Instructions

  • Season pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Optional: Sear pork chops 2–3 minutes per side in a hot skillet with oil.
  • Spread sliced onions evenly across the slow cooker bottom.
  • Whisk cream of mushroom soup with chicken broth until smooth.
  • Place pork chops on onions and pour mushroom mixture over them.
  • Cook on LOW 6–7 hours or HIGH 3–4 hours until pork reaches 145°F.
  • Serve pork chops with creamy mushroom sauce and onions.

Notes

Optional searing enhances flavor. Serve with mashed potatoes, noodles, rice, or roasted vegetables.
