Ingredients

  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 1 tbsp whole black peppercorns
  • 2 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1 piece fresh ginger, sliced
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  • Warm olive oil in a small pot over low heat without letting it simmer.
  • Add black peppercorns, garlic, cinnamon, ginger, and red pepper flakes to the oil.
  • Steep over low heat for 15–20 minutes, allowing flavors to infuse gently.
  • Remove from heat, cool slightly, and strain into a clean glass jar.
  • Use as a finishing oil for vegetables, bread, proteins, or salads.

Notes

Keep the heat low to prevent burning the spices. Store in a sealed jar for up to two weeks.
