Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 10.5 ounce condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Instructions

  • Season pork chops on both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown pork chops for 2–3 minutes per side.
  • In a slow cooker, combine cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, Swiss cheese, onion, garlic, and thyme. Stir well.
  • Place browned pork chops into the slow cooker and spoon sauce over the top.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours until pork reaches 145°F and is tender.
  • Stir sauce before serving and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot.

Notes

For best results, use thick-cut pork chops and cook on LOW for maximum tenderness. Gruyere may be substituted for Swiss cheese.
