refrigerated cheese tortellini

heavy cream

fresh spinach, chopped

teaspoon
dried basil

teaspoon
dried oregano
Salt and pepper, to taste
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
Brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking into crumbles. Drain excess grease.
Add onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Transfer sausage mixture to the slow cooker.
Add chicken broth, diced tomatoes, basil, and oregano. Stir well.
Cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 3 hours.
Stir in tortellini, heavy cream, and spinach 30 minutes before serving.
Continue cooking on LOW for 30 minutes until tortellini is tender.
Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot topped with grated Parmesan.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream. For thicker soup, add 2–3 tablespoons cream cheese at the end.
