Ingredients

  • 6 links raw sausage links
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 14-16 oz can diced tomatoes (optional)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
  • 2 tbsp broth or water (optional)

Instructions

  • Place sliced bell peppers and onion in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Lay the raw sausage links on top of the vegetables.
  • Pour diced tomatoes over the top if using. Sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add garlic or broth if desired.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours until sausages are cooked through and peppers are tender.
  • Serve hot as a main dish, in rolls, or over rice or pasta.

Notes

Cook on LOW for best texture. Optional tomatoes create a light sauce. Sausages should reach 160°F internally.
