bell peppers, sliced

onion, sliced

diced tomatoes (optional)

Italian seasoning
salt and pepper to taste

cloves
garlic, minced (optional)

broth or water (optional)
Instructions
Place sliced bell peppers and onion in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Lay the raw sausage links on top of the vegetables.
Pour diced tomatoes over the top if using. Sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add garlic or broth if desired.
Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours until sausages are cooked through and peppers are tender.
Serve hot as a main dish, in rolls, or over rice or pasta.
Notes
Cook on LOW for best texture. Optional tomatoes create a light sauce. Sausages should reach 160°F internally.
