Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, optional
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch, optional for thickening
  • 1 tbsp water, optional for thickening

Instructions

  • Place chicken in the slow cooker.
  • Whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger if using.
  • Pour mixture over the chicken.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours until chicken is tender.
  • Optional: Remove chicken, thicken sauce with cornstarch slurry on the stove, then pour back over chicken.
  • Serve over steamed rice or noodles with vegetables, garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

Optional: Add ginger for extra flavor. Thicken sauce with cornstarch slurry if desired.
