Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • to taste salt & pepper (optional)

Instructions

  • Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  • In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, ketchup, minced garlic, and optional red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour the honey mixture evenly over the chicken.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours (or HIGH for 3–4 hours) until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
  • Optional: Remove the chicken and simmer the sauce on the stove for a few minutes to thicken, then pour back over the chicken.

Notes

Optional: Add red pepper flakes for heat or apple cider vinegar for tang. Chicken thighs can be used for extra juiciness.
