2-2.5lbsboneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
8ozcream cheese, cubed
1can (10.5-15 oz)cream of chicken soup or ranch-style cooking sauce
Instructions
Lightly grease the slow cooker insert to prevent sticking.
Place the chicken in an even layer at the bottom of the slow cooker.
Pour the cream of chicken soup evenly over the chicken.
Add the cubed cream cheese on top of the chicken and soup mixture.
Cover and cook on LOW for 4-5 hours or HIGH for 2.5-3 hours until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
Shred the chicken with two forks directly in the slow cooker and stir until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of milk or broth and stir to reach the desired consistency before serving.
Notes
If the sauce becomes too thick after cooking, add a splash of milk or chicken broth and stir until smooth. Full-fat cream cheese creates the creamiest texture.
