Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix
  • 1.5 cups beef or chicken broth
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons cold water (optional)

Instructions

  • Lightly season pork chops with salt and pepper if desired.
  • Place pork chops in a single layer in the slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix evenly over the pork chops.
  • Pour broth around the pork chops to moisten the soup mix.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours until pork is tender.
  • For thicker gravy, mix cornstarch with cold water until smooth, stir into the slow cooker, and cook on HIGH for 10–15 minutes.
  • Serve pork chops with onion gravy spooned over the top.

Notes

Use thicker pork chops for best results. Add cornstarch slurry at the end if you prefer thicker gravy. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
