Ingredients

  • 2 28 oz cans crushed tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Lightly spray the inside of the slow cooker with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil.
  • Pour crushed tomatoes into the slow cooker.
  • Add chopped onion and minced garlic.
  • Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook on LOW for 8–10 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours until onions are soft and flavors deepen.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning. Blend slightly if a smoother texture is desired.

Notes

For deeper flavor, add 1/2 cup red wine at the beginning. Stir in fresh basil before serving for brightness.
