Ingredients

  • 2 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix
  • 1.5 cups uncooked white rice

Instructions

  • Lightly grease the inside of the slow cooker.
  • Place the raw chicken pieces evenly in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Spoon the cream of chicken soup and cream of mushroom soup over the chicken without stirring.
  • Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix evenly over the soups.
  • Pour the uncooked rice evenly over the top. Do not mix.
  • Cover and cook on Low for 6–7 hours or on High for 3–4 hours, until chicken is tender and rice is fully cooked.
  • Fluff the rice with a fork, gently mix, and serve hot.

Notes

Do not stir during cooking. Stir only at the end to fluff rice. Add cream cheese or vegetables near the end if desired.
