Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb ground beef
  • 5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 10.5 oz condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 10.5 oz condensed tomato soup or diced tomatoes
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Brown ground beef in a skillet until cooked through. Drain excess fat.
  • Layer sliced potatoes evenly in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Spread cooked ground beef over the potatoes.
  • Pour cream of mushroom soup and tomato soup over the layers.
  • Add onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and optional herbs.
  • Cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours until potatoes are tender.
  • Add shredded cheese during the last 20 minutes and allow it to melt.

Notes

Optional herbs and vegetables allow easy customization.
