Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2.25 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup warm milk
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  • Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  • Knead dough until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  • Divide dough into rolls. Fold or stuff with shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Place rolls on a greased baking sheet and bake at 375°F for 15–20 minutes until golden.
  • Brush with melted butter and serve warm.

Notes

For extra cheesy rolls, fold cheese inside and sprinkle more on top. Best served warm.
