Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease a loaf pan.
In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and shredded cheese.
Add milk, egg, and oil or melted butter. Stir gently until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
Do not overmix the batter to keep the bread tender. Serve warm for best flavor.
