Ingredients

  • 3-4 medium apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8-inch pan.
  • Peel and chop apples into small pieces and set aside.
  • Whisk melted butter, sugar, and eggs in a bowl until smooth.
  • Add flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Stir gently until just combined.
  • Fold in chopped apples. Batter will be thick.
  • Pour batter into pan and bake 35–40 minutes until golden and set.
  • Cool 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Use firm apples for best texture. Dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.
