Ingredients

  • 1 can flaked salmon, drained
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh herbs, chopped
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.125 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  • Combine salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, lemon zest, garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper in a bowl until mixed.
  • Shape mixture into 4 to 6 patties and chill for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook patties for 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden.
  • Serve warm with lemon slices or yogurt-based sauce.

Notes

Chilling the patties before cooking helps them hold together and cook evenly.
