pickled jalapeños, diced (optional)

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the cream cheese and butter together, stirring gently.
Stir in the milk, salt, and black pepper until the sauce becomes smooth.
Add the thawed corn and jalapeños if using. Stir until evenly coated.
Transfer the mixture to a greased 8×8-inch or 2-quart baking dish. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
Bake for 20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve warm.
Notes
Add jalapeños for heat or omit them for a mild version. Serve warm for best texture.
