Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 2 cups custard

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare two 8-inch pans.
  • Mix dry ingredients in one bowl.
  • Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs, vanilla, sour cream, and bananas.
  • Stir in dry ingredients and fold in walnuts and chocolate.
  • Bake 25–30 minutes, cool, then layer with custard and garnish.

Notes

Garnish with bananas just before serving.
