Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Brown ground beef with onion in a skillet. Drain fat, add garlic, and cook briefly.
Stir in pasta sauce and simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Mix sour cream and cream cheese until smooth.
Layer half the noodles, half the cream mixture, and half the meat sauce in the dish.
Repeat layers and top with shredded cheese.
Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden.
Rest 5 minutes before serving and garnish if desired.
Notes
Let the casserole rest before serving for cleaner slices. Freezes well before baking.
