Instructions
Preheat oven to 425°F.
Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
Cut cold butter into the dry ingredients until crumbly.
Stir in cold buttermilk just until dough comes together.
Turn dough onto a floured surface and fold gently.
Roll dough to 1-inch thickness and cut into rounds.
Bake biscuits 12–15 minutes until golden.
Shape sausage into patties slightly larger than biscuits.
Cook patties in a skillet for 3–4 minutes per side.
Split warm biscuits and add sausage patties.
Add cheese if desired.
Serve immediately while hot.
Notes
Optional cheese slices add extra richness. Serve immediately for best texture.
