medium sweet potatoes
butter (optional)
brown sugar (optional)
cinnamon (optional)
maple syrup (optional)

Instructions
Wash and scrub the sweet potatoes thoroughly. Pat dry and pierce each potato several times with a fork.
Place sweet potatoes on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave on HIGH for 5 minutes.
Flip the sweet potatoes and microwave for an additional 4–6 minutes until tender.
Check doneness by inserting a fork into the center. Cook in 1–2 minute increments if needed.
Slice open, fluff the inside with a fork, and add desired toppings before serving.
Notes
Choose similar-sized sweet potatoes for even cooking. Adjust time based on microwave wattage.
